An elegant late Meiji pair of Kyoto Satsuma vases, c.1890–1905. Decorated in kinrande with intricate brocade borders and micro-beading, each vase depicts cranes among flowering plum and chrysanthemums — a refined motif of renewal and longevity. The meticulous brushwork over gold, delicate palette, and mirror-variant design are hallmarks of the Kyoto school in the circle of Kinkozan or Yabu Meizan. Unsigned export production of high artistic and decorative value.
