Piedmontese Walnut Wardrobe With Fluted Doors, Late 18th Century

Solid Piedmontese wardrobe in solid walnut, dating to the late 18th century (circa 1780–1790). Fine craftsmanship featuring vertically fluted door panels typical of rural Piedmont furniture of the period.
The structure has well-balanced proportions and a projecting molded cornice. The frame-mounted doors preserve their original iron lock and escutcheon. The spacious interior offers excellent storage capacity for clothing or household linens.
The wardrobe can be completely dismantled into two sections, a practical feature of Alpine and Po Valley furniture, allowing easier transport and installation in homes with narrow access.
Made of high quality solid walnut, it retains an attractive authentic patina. The structure is solid and stable, ready to be placed and used.
