A Chelsea porcelain dessert dish, eighteenth century, circa 1765, of oval quatrefoil form, painted in coloured enamels with fruits, flowers, leaves, butterflies, a dragonfly and a ladybird, with a moulded ribbon-tied border in turquoise and puce, with gilt rim, gold anchor mark.

26cm (10.25in) wide
18cm (7.1in) deep
3.5cm (1.4in) high
Condition: Excellent. No cracks, chips, or crazing. A few very light surface scratches. Wear to rim gilding. Some dark staining to inside and outside of base rim.
