Dogon statue, Mali, wood, 34 cm, former private collection (Andorra), former D. Boudre collection (Toulouse). Dogon statue commonly Bombou Toro (geographic area) with a characteristic style with arms along the body, hands meeting on the front of the penis. This sculpture seems to be masculine, the face is erased but we can still see the remains of a beard. We also note the presence of finely carved motifs (features and necklaces). The patina is crusty in certain places. The object is particularly worn by time, the erosion is a sign of its antiquity. The object is authentic and has no restoration.
