This statue depicts Papa Dansou, a three-headed male figure who looks to the past, present, and future, holding a staff and a trident in his arms. He is the male counterpart of Mami Wata, the Vodoun goddess of the sea and rivers, worshipped by fishermen. The object was created by Togolese artist Sokey Mahou in the 1990s. The object is authentic and has no restorations.
