Venavi
Statuette from the Ewe cultural group (Togo), commonly called Venavi and used as part of the cult of twins like the Ibeji among the Yrouba of Nigeria. This female statuette has its hairstyle painted black like the figuration of its shoes. There is also a golden earring on the right ear. It has a slightly "honeyed" patina. The object is authentic and unrestored, dating back to the mid-20th century.
