Senufo anthropomorphic statuette - Ivory Coast, first half of the 20th century Male statuette in the very classic Senufo style. Man represented standing, short legs slightly bent, back arched, arms and hands placed near the protruding belly above the visible sex. The facial scarifications as well as the amulet and arm jewelry are highlighted in red. This type of statuette seems to have played an important role in divination exercises. Height 27.5cm Height without base 24cm Weight 362gr
