clock with the effigy of Jean Racine's poet adorned with a very finely
chiseled bust, it rests on a three-sided bookcase on which is inscribed
the dial composed of a white enamel strapping and in the center of a
guilloché medallion. In bronze gilded with mercury, quality
gilding, from the Charles X period around 1840.
