                    Very interesting book "report" of the trial of Marie Chamans de Lavalette, French officer and high-ranking civil servant; born in Paris in 1769, sentenced to death on November 21, 1815 for having participated in a conspiracy led by Generals Drouet and Lefebvre-Desnouettes during the First Restoration, he was finally pardoned in 1822. 
Collated complete: Title page + Notice (4pp.) + 50 pp.
 Format in-8: 13 x 20.5 cm 
Binding slightly rubbed at the corners and headcaps, however present; gilt title piece. Text printed on orchard-type paper. 'Classic' foxing on this type of so-called "common" 19th-century paper.
