"Regency High-backed Walnut Armchair, 18th Century, Tapestry With Petits Points"
Very beautiful Regency armchair with a high back in richly carved walnut covered with a tapestry with small points. This very beautiful seat with more "stocky" proportions than what we usually see on this type of armchair is finely carved on all of its woodwork. The base has an X-shaped spacer, the feet end in sabots. This is probably a work from Liège, from the 18th century. The whole is in good condition. The upholstery is in good condition, the seat is very good. The tapestry covering with small points is from the 19th century, it has small wear and lacks without seriousness (see photos) The back fabric of the back has some small tears. The woodwork is in very good condition and very stable. Only the spacer has some small old restorations (grafts).
