"Rennes Wardrobe In Solid Cherry Wood, Louis XV Style, Rennes, Second Half Of The 18th Century"
Imposing Rennaise wardrobe in solid cherry wood from the second half of the 18th century. This remarkable piece of furniture, typical of Rennes furniture, has doors each decorated with three animated and richly carved panels. The sides of our wardrobe are worked in panels. The double-arched cornice is topped in its center with a plume formed by a shell and a stylized fleur-de-lis and surrounded by floral elements. Lock, key and ironwork are all original. The depths of this piece of furniture are of an impressive thickness, the traces of tools are still visible. Furniture of a rare quality of cabinetmaking, superb patina. We note a restoration of use at the level of the rear feet.
