Pair Of Solid Rio Rosewood
Elegant pair of armchairs à la Reine in solid Rio rosewood, made in the taste of the Louis XV style, and dating from the Napoleon III era in the second half of the XIXᵉ century.
These chairs feature a very fine classical line, with slightly moved flat backs, curved armrests and cambered legs characteristic of Louis XV-inspired furniture. The fine, delicate carving is enlivened by a decor of stylized florets and shells, elegantly underlining the crosspieces and the tops of the backs.
The choice of Rio rosewood, a precious species particularly appreciated in the XIXᵉ century, lends these armchairs a beautiful depth of tone and refined character.
The armchairs have just come out of our restoration workshops, where they have been entirely relined according to the rules of the art. They are now covered with a shaved velvet patterned with two-tone florets in yellow tones, adding a luminous, elegant touch that highlights the finesse of the lines and the richness of the wood.
The set is presented in perfect condition, ready for installation.
To note simply a very slight lack of wood on one of the legs, of the order of 2 millimeters, discreet and with no impact on the solidity or aesthetics of the set.
The set is presented in perfect state of preservation, ready to be installed.
