Henri Louis Levasseur (1853-1934) - French sculptor, student of Auguste Dumont and Eugène Delaplanche. He specialized in mythological, historical, and religious representations. His sculptures are characterized by the plasticity of the material and an extraordinary ability to render details. He regularly exhibited his works at the Paris Salons. His works are present in many prestigious cultural and artistic institutions, such as the Orangerie du Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris or the Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow.
