Vase Decorated With Women's Heads, Majolica, Sarreguemines, 19th/20th Century.
An imposing decorative vase with rich, historicist forms. The vase’s body, with its rounded belly, is covered in a flowing multicolored enamel decoration in shades of brown, red, green, and gold, creating the so-called “lava glaze” effect.
The neck and base are designed in the form of stylized architectural elements. The handles, with their strongly curved volute shape, blend into relief decorations depicting plant motifs.
The sides feature female masks of classical beauty, with ornate hairstyles and jewelry.
