Louis XV chiffonnière, Oval Shape in Rosewood veneer, green stained wood fillets and a Gallery of Cubes drawing Frames, The Uprights are decorated with simulated Flutes, the Feet are slightly arched, joined by a Marquetry Spacer. Its Top is a white veined Marble in very good condition, surrounded by an openwork Gallery in Gilded Bronze. It opens on the front with 3 superimposed Drawers, the first is equipped with a Writing Desk covered in green leather, the dark reverse of a small Mirror, and compartments in Gilded Bronze, necessary for writing. Its Top measures 50 CM x 38 CM The Height is 74 CM. Stamped F. LESAGE. François Lesage (1796 - 1867) cabinetmaker François Lesage was a 19th century cabinetmaker working in the tradition of the 18th century masters. His signature can be found on the edge of the locks "F. Lesage Paris" or with the stamp "F-LESAGE". He established himself in Paris at 70 rue Amelot then at 91 rue Truffaut. In 1850, he became a supplier to Emperor Napoleon III.
