Rare and Exceptional Small Flying Table in Solid Mahogany from the Louis XV Period, Resting on Delicately Curved Legs Terminating in Gilded Bronze Feet and Casters.
This small rectangular table, which opens via a waist drawer featuring a gilded and chiseled bronze lock plate, is finished with a lovely Sienna-yellow top, with ochre, reddish brown, and purplish tones. It rests on four tall, curved legs, joined by a crossbar. The front corners are rounded, and its top is framed by a wooden molding on three sides. High-quality craftsmanship, superb solid mahogany. Bears the JME mark and the Jurandes hallmark, but we have not found a maker’s mark. Comes with its key.
