Authentic reliquary dating from the 19th century is a circular model in brass, with a glass protecting its contents. It presents four relics of saints, arranged in a fan around a golden damask background decorated with silver flowers.
Description
The handwritten labels in red ink, carefully wrapped around the relics, identify the saints from whom they come: St. Rochi Conf.S. Ludovici Regis S. Josephi Aleonisa S. Bernardi Abbatis
Each relic is fixed to the bottom with silk threads, still intact, proof of their authenticity.
On the back, the reliquary is sealed with a red wax seal bearing the ecclesiastical coat of arms of the prelate who authenticated these relics, with the handwritten inscription of the inventory number (no. 1575) and the name of the prelate: Elenchi Abbatis, probably an abbreviation of his title.
