Beautiful small oval enamelled copper box, white background, all decorated with flowers in cross-hatched frames, its lid, enamelled in high relief with polychrome flowers on a checkered "Vichy" background.
Good brass mount, it is an English work, South Staffordshire, circa 1780/1800.
Decoration is very attractive, but condition is not perfect: 2 places show chips, (arrows on photo).
Dimensions: 7cm x4.5cm x 3.5cm.
