Venetian Charles X Tryptich In Burr Walnut, Circa 1830

Stunning Venetian tryptich from the Charles X period, dating to around 1830. Comprising a chest of drawers and two nightstands, this ensemble is a fine example of the high level of cabinetmaking achieved in early 19th-century Veneto.
The three pieces are veneered in exceptional quality burr walnut, with mirrored grain patterns especially striking on the upper drawers and main panels. The corner columns are fluted and ebonized, and the turned bulbous legs, reminiscent of petals or bell shapes, are remarkable sculptural details.
The chest features three drawers, the top one being slightly smaller and framed like a moulded cornice. The nightstands each have two drawers and a lower cupboard, offering a functional and balanced layout.
The drawer interiors are made of solid walnut, further testifying to the craftsmanship and the importance of the original commission.
