Louis-philippe Oak Dressing Table – 19th Century
Elegant Louis-Philippe style commode/dressing table, 19th century. Made of solid oak and flame veneer,
it features four drawers in the front.
It is topped with a beautiful veined white marble, extended by a marble back panel supporting an antique mercury-backed mirror framed by a scalloped molding. The mirror measures 100cm wide by 76cm high.
The marble top is 80cm high. The drawers are adorned with gilt bronze mounts in the rocaille style.
It has rounded uprights, toupie feet, and harmonious proportions.
A very fine piece of bedroom or bathroom furniture, understated and elegant, typical of French production in the second half of the 19th century.
The key and locks are functional. Good overall condition.
Marble top intact. Antique mirror with slight wear to the silvering, normal for its age.
