Antoine Cronier or Crosnier (1732 - after 1806) is among the most important Parisian clockmakers of the second half of the 18th century.
Son of a Parisian master carpenter, he registered his letters of mastery on March 1, 1763 and set up his workshop on rue Saint-Honoré.
He immediately met with immense success among the great Parisian lovers of luxury watchmaking and collaborated with the best craftsmen of the time, notably the cabinetmaker Jean-Pierre Latz, the bronziers François Vion or the Osmond and the gilder Honoré Noël.
In the 18th century, some of his achievements were mentioned in the works of Marshal Choiseul-Stainville, the Marquis de Sainte-Amaranthe, the Duke of Deux-Ponts and Prince Belosselsky-Belozersky.
