"Bronze And Onyx Clock Under Study"
A clock known as a "study" clock depicts Madame Geoffrin (a woman of letters). She wears antique drapery and her hair is styled in a chignon, her left arm resting on a chair. The whole rests on a wavy white onyx base accented with gilt bronze moldings, supported by four imposing feet chased with gadroons. The patina is in good original condition, and the mechanism is complete (key and pendulum), but a full restoration is recommended.
