Large Silver And Gold Rhinestone Shoe Buckle, 18th Century
This spectacular large shoe buckle is entirely covered with sparkling trapezoidal rhinestones, cut to shape, on a paillon in a joint setting on silver. A fine border with an inner edge of chased gold (probably 9 carat) contrasts with the sparkling stones. The steel system is beautifully decorated and well preserved with minimal traces of oxidation.
