Venetian Mirror In Luigi Filippo Style – Mid 19th Century

Large Venetian mirror from the mid-19th century, crafted in the Luigi Filippo style. The structure is made of wood and richly decorated with pastiglia elements featuring scrolls, foliage, and floral motifs, crowned by a carved female bust at the top.
The decoration reflects the style of the period, with curving lines and ornamental patterns that add rhythm and elegance to the piece. The surface has been re-gilded with imitation gold leaf, which partially obscures the original detailing. Some original highlights are still visible.
Condition: fair. The later gilding affects the clarity of the decorative details, and there are visible signs of age.
