Louis XVI Style Demi-lune Console In Carved Walnut With Green Marble Top

Elegant demi-lune console in carved walnut, made in the Louis XVI style, featuring a slender and harmonious structure enriched by a finely executed carved decoration. The most prominent carved elements are enhanced with subtle gilt highlights, adding depth and refinement to the overall appearance.
The frieze is decorated with fluting, bead mouldings and braided motifs, while the gracefully shaped legs rest on turned feet and are connected by a finely carved central stretcher. The console combines clean lines with a strong decorative and scenographic presence.
The green marble top, likely Verde Alpi, shaped en demi-lune, shows an old restored break, visible along the fracture line; this intervention, consistent with the age of the piece, does not affect either its stability or functionality.
