- This solid walnut box, square in shape, equipped with a key lock and a handle on the top reveals a rich interior covered with an elegant celadon blue silk fabric decorated with a silver braid. The lid covers a mirror framed with an embroidery, with silver metallic threads, of frieze motifs. A cushion, the original one, also in silk, protects the mirror.
- The box contains four cylindrical bottles, of different capacities, in faceted cut glass and mounted in silver. Their stopper, with a grip, is held to the neck by a small original chain also in silver. They are accompanied by a funnel and a cup also in silver (discharge mark for medium-sized pieces, a caduceus, used in Paris February 1722- November 1726).
- This box is distinguished by its completeness (all elements are present including the cushion, a rare element) and by its state of conservation. - All silver elements are hallmarked. - Good state of conservation, three chips are to be noted on the back of the box (see photos). A chain is missing on one of the four bottles.
