A magnificent antique, intricately gilded and enameled Lobmeyr crystal glass perfume bottle c.1875. Exquisitely decorated with a boy or putto holding the tethers of two classical dolphins and sumptuous gilding. 5.75in (14.5cm) high.
Hatched maker’s mark to base. Decorator’s marks to base and stopper.
In excellent, undamaged condition. Near mint.
J. & L. Lobmeyr was founded in 1823. An internationally important Austrian crystal factory it was represented at the major national and international exhibitions. It was famed for its crystal chandeliers and decorative objects and supplied the Viennese imperial court, the crown of Belgium, and of Flanders.
