"Menton: The Red Rocks, Garavan"
The port of Garavan is today a district of Menton which in 1860 was still part of Ventimiglia. This view of the red rocks overlooking the sea in this bay is beautifully painted by Henri Monnier (of course not to be confused with the famous 19th century namesake) an artist active on the French Riviera in the 1930s. A good 19th century frame with gold leaf, and mounted to highlight this painting. Dimensions of the work without frame: 22.5 cm x 15.5 cm
