"18th Century Southern Earthenware Dish "
Beautiful large round earthenware dish from the south of the 18th century, probably from Moustiers, decorated with ironwork on the rim, and centered with a bouquet of flowers. The tone of the blue is unusual, a little lighter than usual, which gives it a particular charm. The enamel is very thick and shiny. A small enamel defect is visible on the edge, in a crater, (it happened during dipping), it reveals all the difficulty of perfecting a large piece. A tiny chip on the edge is not very visible. Very good original condition, and sounds perfect.
