Object description :

"François Szulman (born In 1931), Painting View Of A Fishing Port Dated 1977. "
SZULMAN (François), painter born in Paris on June 5, 1931 (Ec. Fr.), Just after the Second World War, he was admitted to the School of Applied Arts in Paris. He abandoned his artistic studies to help support his family but quickly returned to painting as a professional painter. Thus, he exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants from 1951 and then at other equally renowned salons such as the Salon d'Automne, the Peintres Témoins de leurs Temps, the Nationale des Beaux-Arts etc… His first solo exhibition took place in 1967 in Paris in the Régis Langlois gallery. It was a success and the craze for his painting continued to grow among amateurs and collectors. A landscape painter, he draws his themes from everyday life. His falsely naive style allowed him to stand out with a unique and less figurative painting than it may seem in a thick paste that can evoke enamels. This very beautiful work, an oil on canvas from the 1970s, titled "Fishing boats" shows a view of a lively port at low tide. Dimensions: Format 15F. Height 54 cm. Width 65 cm (69 cm x 80 cm with the frame). Work in good condition. Original frame in good condition with some slight wear without affecting the aesthetics.
