FAGES (Arthur), born in Toulouse on May 11, 1902 and died on November 29, 1984 in Socoa. Passionate about drawing and painting from an early age, Arthur Fages participated in the Salons of French Artists and Southern Artists in 1922 and 1923. In 1925, he held his first solo exhibition in Toulouse. This was followed by a period of travel, notably in Spain, Austria, Hungary, Italy, and Portugal. He participated in the International Exhibition of Arts and Techniques in Paris and held an artist exhibition at the Musée des Augustins and the Salon d'Art Contemporain in 1942. In 1949, he was named Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur and was elected in 1951 to the Toulouse Academy of Arts in the Painter category. International exhibitions multiplied for him in New York, Haiti, and then Egypt. His works thus joined numerous private collections.
