a very old Taoist wooden statue depicting one of the judges of hell.
He is dressed in formal attire, with his hands in a meditative posture.
On the back is a votive box with a missing lid.
The piece shows traces of polychrome paint and gilding.
Dimensions: Height 20 (cm).
Good condition, aside from minor, inconsequential wear and a few instances of woodworm damage that have been treated.
