Japan, end of the 19th century – beginning of the 20th century, very pretty earthenware statue of Satsuma depicting a seated male figure, holding a fan in his right hand. A wicker basket sits on its left side. He wears richly and subtly decorated clothes.
The set is of good quality and the reliefs of the piece highlight many details.
Height 22.5cm. The scale witness in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a well-known brand.
