Interesting pair of porcelain cornet vases from the Samson manufacture dating from the late 19th Century.
A surprising decoration with Persian archers, quite unusual, we regularly find the Chinese decoration, but the Persian decoration is rarer.
These are cornet vases with polylobed porcelain necks decorated in very high relief.
many details treated in high relief:
the characters, the birds, the fruits and flowers as well as the handèles treated in the shape of dragons with bat wings.
The whole is bursting with color and gilding, remarkable and extremely detailed work, even the inside of the necks is painted with floral motifs.
The relief motifs stand out against a blue and gold background.
Thèse are mounted on bronze bases with rocaille motifs.
Perfect condition, no restoration, only one of the two bases has been glued back to its vase a long time ago, a pair of vases with unusual patterns and a bright decoration.
Dimensions:
37 cm high and 24 cm wide at the base by 20 cm deep.
