Clock "lion Head" In Gilt Bronze Néo-classique Bellenot 1855
Quality gilt bronze clock, mechanism stamped
1855 corresponding to the date of manufacture. Finely chiseled bronze
architecture, covered with very beautiful gilding. In the Neo-Classical
style and from the Napoleon III period.
Main ornamentation on its sides of an imposing lion's muzzle holding a mobile drapery. In the center, very large domed dial in white enamel with blue numerals accompanied by finely worked gilded hands, set with a chiseled bezel set with domed glass.
Adorned at the top with a basin equipped with handles connected by a garland drop. Imposing base structured with four consoles with volutes framing, three grid surfaces revealing the gilded lens of the pendulum.
Original movement without modification, striking the hours and half-hours on an old bell.
