Large female statue Pende, with the typical look of half-closed eyes. In very light wood (fromage) this statue therefore has some missing parts and wear, it was probably buried like a post, It must have decorated the hut of a chief, small remains of red polychromy on the forehead and white. Beautiful hieratic attitude. Height 105 cm including base, from an old Bordeaux collection, very rare object!
