Art Deco Dress In Coral Pink Silk Crepe And Tulle - France Circa 1920-1925

Circa 1920-1925 France Afternoon dress in salmon coral pink silk crepe, probably Haute Couture and dating from the 1920s. Sleeveless dress with boat neckline and very elaborate construction. Blousant top, openwork, smocked straps. Back panel slightly fitted at the waist with an adjoining belt embroidered with tone-on-tone silk floche chain stitch. Adjoining pleated skirt at the waist embroidered with reminder bands and edged with a double flounce of silk tulle at the bottom. No label but dress sewn entirely by hand with haute couture finishes. Under dress in silk pongee and tulle with interior hooking on the bust. No major defect apart from a very slight patina and structural fragility, particularly of the linings. No holes or visible stains. Good general condition of color and conservation. Dimensions: Equivalent to France size 37/38. Height 131 cm Shoulders 36 cm Chest 91 cm Waist 82 cm Hips 101 cm.
