A beautiful doll's dress and reticule from the Second Empire period, made of black silk moiré and embroidered with a scattered pattern of leafy stems. Beautiful black passementerie cordwork applied to the shawl collar, adorned with knotted fringes and tapered tassels. Matching details at the bottom of the skirt and on the tasseled reticule. Small tulle petticoat embroidered with gold thread and adorned with a velvet trim. Closes in the back with lacing and mother-of-pearl buttons. No lining or alterations. Very good condition in terms of color and preservation.
