A bourgeois woman's bodice or camisole in mouse-gray silk faille and dating from the Romantic period. Curved bodice with small neckline and angled sleeves with small gigots. The back is cut in a V-shape and finished at the front with fine pleating and concealed period hooks. Beautiful boiled smocking on shoulders and arms, all seams finely piped in color. Caraco fully lined with cream chintz and brown chintz on the sleeves. Cuffs are fastened with color-coded buttons. No stains or holes. Very good color and condition.
