A delightful pair of men’s slippers embroidered in fine wool in a bold Second Empire floral motif! Cream-colored cotton and leather lining; soles and heel pads in fawn leather, finely studded. Piping made of applied brown curly velvet ribbon (minor losses at the heels). A few missing wool stitches and slight crushing at the heel. Period patina but structurally sound. Good overall condition.
Dimensions: equivalent to men’s size 39–40, suitable for a very slender foot. Length 27 cm, instep 16 cm.
