Coming to Paris around 1900, he exhibited at the Salon des artistes français from 1905. He produced numerous groups and statuettes of children representing mainly popular and rural scenes, as well as animal studies and busts. One of these groups, "Peasants and Children" is in the collections of the Musée d'Orsay. Giuseppe d'Aste will be active until 1935.
