Transitional Style Commode From The Riesener Model, Executed In The Late 19th Century

Louis XV - Louis XVI style transitional central chest of drawers, opening on the front with two rows of drawers without visible transom and a third row with three drawers is revealed belt by a secret (push-button). Built of oak, marquetry on a mahogany background with sycamore flowers in a geometric shape, the whole is enriched with a decoration of chiseled and gilded bronzes ornamented with foliated interlacing, jewels, beaded rings , drops of acanthus leaves.
