A strikingly realistic bronze sculpture with a shaded brown patina representing a helmeted Roman chariot driver controlling two spirited horses. Antique cast from the end of the 19th century, signed by the sculptorFrémiet, cast by Charles More, on an oval base.

History : Works of art exhibited at the 1866 Salon and acquired by the Ministry of the Emperor's Household and Fine Arts, at the Palais des Champs-Elysées in Paris.
