Beautiful black and gold frame from 19th century containing the relic of an alphabet , embroidered by a little girl, in 1833, almost two centuries.Quite virtuoso in terms of work, but sunstroked, stained and worn in places.
Alphabet in small capitals,
following its numbers up to 20, ending with a key.
Large capitals on 2 lines ending with 1833 under closed crown.
The large central composition, presenting around ten birds, a windmill, 2 trees, 5 potted flowers, a house with dog, different flower medallions and crowns and series of initials.
Sad condition, nice work, square, 32 x 32cm. Frame = 41cm x 41cm.
