Signed and dated Otto Jarl 1899 Founder's stamp in Vienna Otto Jarl (born April 10, 1856 in Uppland; died November 16, 1915 in the Dornbach district of Vienna) is an Austrian sculptor originally from Sweden. Otto Jarl studied in Stockholm at the Skolan Tekniska (technical school) and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He is the son-in-law of Friedrich von Schmidt. Otto Jarl is particularly recognized in animal sculpture.
