Louis XVI-style Mirror In Carved And Gilded Wood – Pediment With Floral Motif – H. 100 Cm

An elegant Louis XVI-style mirror made of carved and gilded wood, adorned with an openwork pediment featuring a floral basket surrounded by roses, daisies, foliage, and scrollwork. The side panels are embellished with laurel leaves, while the legs are topped with acanthus leaf motifs. The frame is accented by a beaded frieze, characteristic of the Louis XVI style.

The gilding has a beautiful patina with warm tones, highlighting the relief of the carving. The mirror is in good condition and provides a beautiful reflection. Note a very slight, age-related chip on one of the flowers on the pediment; it is barely visible and does not affect the overall appearance (see photos).
