A masterpiece of Hereke, this splendid prayer rug is in hand-knotted silk on silk and is 90 cm wide by 162 cm long.
In the form of a prayer, this marvel from the beginning of the first part of the 20th century is in very good condition.
The presence of two cranes at the base of the niche symbolizes "eternal love", the presence of two hares symbolizes "the believer".
In the center an important tree of life springs from a highly decorated vase, interlacing, arabesques, various birds, sheaves of flowers complete the whole and the borders in a skilfully orchestrated decor which is reminiscent of the influence of the Kachan d 'Iran.
Silk velvet, superb, edges, very good, fringes, correct with wear.
