Wooden Bowl, Cameroon, Bamoun Tribe. 19th Century.
The wooden bowl, circular in shape, is covered on the surface with a beautiful black patina.
It is decorated on the edges and at the tip of its handle with engraved geometric patterns.
The container, Kupshe Ket or Kushe, was formerly used in the palace and in the noblest families to present maize and millet paste during meals taken together.
