Buddhist Lion In Sancai Porcelain. China Qing Period Kangxi Reign
Artist: Kangxi
Buddhist lion in green, yellow and manganese enamelled porcelain, black eyes. The animal standing on its 4 legs stands on a base cut out in the shape of a leaf. Late 17th century Chinese work, Kangxi Emperor period, Sancai style (three colors). No restoration, good condition but it is worth noting two accidents on the base, they are difficult to see because the base does not have a regular shape and the fractures have the same color, but under a magnifying glass we can see that the fractures are matte, without glaze and not shiny like the rest of the base. Two photos show us these two losses. . On the chest appears a cooking slot at the place of the joint of the 2 molded parts. Height 95mm.
