Porcelain Parrot 40 Cm Kangxi Brand - 19th Century Qing Dynasty
Large Chinese porcelain parrot perched on an openwork rock. The entire sculpture is covered with a crackled turquoise glaze, characteristic of Quing production from the 18th century. With its 40cm height, this bird is a beautiful decorative element. The openwork rock bears the apocryphal four-character mark "Kangxi Nian Zhi". Although this mark is that of the Kangxi Emperor (17th century), the technique and style of the paste indicate that it is a production of the end of the 19th century during the Qing dynasty. A tribute to the famous export models. The sculpture is in good general condition. I note a visible chip on the bottom of the foot (see photo)
